At its second meeting of 2025, the TPTA Board approved adding a sixth bus for the 2025-26 school year to support two pilot programs: a new St. Hilary School morning and afternoon express bus to ease traffic between Highway 101 and Rock Hill Road, and a late-afternoon bus for students attending extracurricular programs across the Peninsula to reduce late-afternoon congestion. RUSD and St. Hilary School passes will go on sale in late May, with after-school passes launching in July to align with the Ranch’s fall program registration.

The board also received an update on the proposed Tiburon Boulevard bike lanes. The Program Administrator reported on a meeting with Caltrans and other stakeholders on April 21, where safety concerns over maintaining Yellow Bus stops between Trestle Glen and Blackfield Drive were raised. With the bus provider refusing to stop in bike lanes, no clear solutions emerged.

Other board actions included deferring final approval of the FY 2025–26 budget due to state funding uncertainties, as well as approving revisions to the JPA agreement and bylaws, an MOU with St. Hilary School, and a new contract for the Program Administrator, which requires further review due to concerns over the indemnification clause.
