At its third meeting of 2025, on June 10, 2025, the TPTA Board received several key updates, including a briefing on strong pass sales to date this year, with nearly 700 one-way passes already sold. The Board also approved the stops and schedule for the new pilot afterschool express bus, which will serve families with children in afterschool programs at The Ranch beginning next year. Passes for this route will go on sale in July.

The Board received an update on the proposed Tiburon Boulevard bike lanes. Despite significant student safety and traffic concerns raised by the Reed Union School District (RUSD), the TPTA, the City of Belvedere, Marin Transit, and community members, Caltrans appears to be moving forward with plans to install bike lanes between Trestle Glen and the Highway 101 overpass. No clear plan has been shared to address impacts on existing school bus stops along the route, which may be blocked or made less safe by the proposed changes.

The TPTA Chair is working with RUSD’s Chief Financial Officer to pursue available state funding to support the bus program. The Board authorized the Chair to sign a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with RUSD on behalf of the TPTA.

Additional actions included approving the meeting minutes from May 2, 2025, the FY 2025–26 budget, and an updated contract for the Program Administrator.
